CPA
Self-Assessment Committee
The Self-Assessment Committee (CPA) of the São Leopoldo Mandic Faculty is responsible for the institutional self-assessment process, in accordance with the National System for the Evaluation of Higher Education (SINAES).
For over twenty years, the CPA has conducted an annual cycle of Internal Institutional Evaluation, ensuring the transparency of the self-assessment process, collecting data and opinions from stakeholders through a structured methodology, and disseminating the results in public reports that highlight strengths and areas for improvement.
The CPA is composed of representatives from segments of the academic community — faculty, students, and administrative staff — and organized civil society, ensuring plurality and broad participation in the evaluation process.
Based on the results, the CPA presents improvement plans indicating short, medium, and long-term actions, guiding institutional management and contributing to the continuous improvement of academic and administrative processes.

ENADE
National Student Performance Examination
ENADE (National Student Performance Exam) assesses the performance of undergraduate students in relation to the program content, skills and competencies acquired during their studies, as well as the IDD (Indicator of Difference between Observed and Expected Performance), calculated by the Ministry of Education.
The São Leopoldo Mandic College consistently achieves high performance in the ENADE exam, reflecting its commitment to quality education and the comprehensive preparation of students throughout their undergraduate studies.
The ENADE results are used internally by the CPA to identify areas for curricular improvement and to reinforce aspects in which the institution already demonstrates excellence.
IGC and other indicators
National recognition by the MEC (Brazilian Ministry of Education)
The General Course Index (IGC) is a quality indicator for higher education institutions that considers student performance in the ENADE exam, faculty, and graduate programs evaluated by CAPES.
In 2009, Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic was recognized by the MEC (Brazilian Ministry of Education) as the best higher education institution in the health field in Brazil, according to the IGC/2008 (General Course Index) — a historic milestone that reflects its ongoing commitment to excellence.
Since then, the institution has maintained high ratings in the MEC indicators, confirming that academic quality is an ongoing commitment and not just a one-off result.
In addition to the IGC, courses are regularly evaluated through the Course Concept (CC) and the Preliminary Course Concept (CPC), resulting from the Authorization, Recognition, and Renewal of Recognition processes conducted by the MEC, which also attest to the quality of the training offered.
