Institutional Scientific Initiation Programs

The São Leopoldo Mandic Faculty offers scientific initiation programs for Dentistry and Medicine students with scholarships granted by CNPq and the institution.

About the Program

What is the Scientific Initiation Program?

The Scientific Initiation Program (PIC), also known as PIBIC when linked to CNPq scholarships, is an institutional initiative that aims to awaken scientific vocation and encourage new talents among undergraduate students at São Leopoldo Mandic.

Through the program, scholarship students integrate into active research groups, learning to plan experiments, collect and analyze data, interpret results, and communicate scientific findings. This experience is fundamental for those who wish to pursue an academic career or enter graduate programs.

The PIC program encompasses projects in various areas of knowledge cultivated at the institution, including Dentistry, Health Sciences, and related fields. Projects last 12 months, are renewable, and result in scientific reports, presentations at SEMIC, and publications in specialized journals.
