The Technological Innovation Center of the São Leopoldo Mandic Faculty (NIT/MANDIC) has as its main mission to encourage innovation and company/school exchange in postgraduate courses.

About the NIT

Innovation and technology transfer in healthcare

The NIT (Innovation and Technology Center) is composed of professionals from different areas, including professors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and communication professionals. Its objective is to guide students, advisors, and course coordinators in the development of patents, software, applications, and technologies.

Furthermore, the center collaborates on projects for the development and improvement of products requested by companies in the healthcare sector, acting as a strategic link between academic production and the innovation market.

São Leopoldo Mandic College, committed to excellence in education and social transformation, seeks to establish strategic collaborations and alliances, focusing on Dentistry and Medicine.

Technical Products

Types of technical products supported by the NIT

Patent

Legal document guaranteeing exclusive rights to an idea or product. It must be developed during a master's/doctoral program and registered with the following co-inventors: student, SLMANDIC, advisor, and course coordinator.

Software / Application

Technical product developed during postgraduate programs with a transfer of ownership rights agreement.

Technical Report

Document describing procedures for testing or validating a product/process requested by a partner company. It must include the company's opinion on the research.

Media Product

A collection of media outlets (newspapers, magazines, TV, radio, internet, social media, podcasts) with an informative purpose. Requires a written authorization for the use of images and audio.

Teaching Material

Educational product with an instructional purpose (physical or digital, including apps). The student is the main author, and the advisor is a co-author.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

A document describing the practices and recommendations of a process. Requires expert review and validation by a lay evaluator.
