Health and education for the community
The São Leopoldo Mandic Faculty develops a wide range of actions aimed at the well-being of the community, integrating teaching, research and university extension in a concrete and impactful way.
Through dental and medical teaching clinics, thousands of patients are treated annually with high-quality and affordable services, contributing to the oral and general health of the population.
The clinics offer services in various dental specialties — such as orthodontics, implants, periodontics, endodontics, and surgery — in addition to medical consultations and procedures performed by students supervised by experienced professors.

Actions that transform realities
Community health
Health Boat
A project that offers medical and dental care in riverside communities of the Amazon. The documentary "Amazon: the lung, the blood and the green-yellow blood cells," which documented the project, received an Honorable Mention from ABMES in 2018.
Social assistance
Mandic Social Movement (MSM)
It carries out monthly activities with homeless people, distributing food, blankets, hygiene kits, and clothing. It's a volunteer initiative that offers humane assistance to socially vulnerable populations.
University extension
MANDIC Health Express
It promotes medical and dental care in peripheral areas through mobile units (trailers) equipped with consulting rooms. It integrates teaching, outreach, and research with direct faculty supervision.
Environment
EcoMandic
An environmental initiative that promotes selective waste collection, responsible waste disposal, and the adoption of clean technologies, such as digital X-rays and reduced use of plastics on the institution's premises.
Culture
Support for Culture
Mandic sponsors cultural and theatrical productions, such as the play "Eternal Shine" (premiering in 2021), based on the film of the same name, reinforcing its commitment to the human and artistic development of society.
Oral health
Oral Health Prevention Campaigns
Awareness campaigns on oral hygiene and disease prevention conducted in public schools and social organizations, bringing health and education to communities with limited access to specialized services.
Documentary
Health Boat
The documentary "Amazon: the lung, the blood and the green-yellow blood cells", by photographer Giancarlo Gianelli, documents the Health Boat project and gathers testimonies from participants and members of the indigenous community of Alto Autazes, in the Amazon, highlighting the impact of medical and dental care brought to hard-to-reach riverside regions.

The teaching clinics at São Leopoldo Mandic Faculty are one of the institution's main instruments of social responsibility. Through them, the community has access to high-quality dental and medical services at affordable prices.
The treatments are performed by students under the supervision of experienced professors, guaranteeing safety and technical excellence in all specialties: orthodontics, implantology, periodontics, endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and much more.
The Institute of Dental Radiodiagnosis (IRO), linked to the Mandic Group, has established itself as a benchmark in accessible diagnostics, accumulating more than 1 million consultations throughout its history.
