General Course Index – IGC
The General Course Index – IGC is an instrument published annually by Inep/MEC that synthesizes the quality of undergraduate, master's, and doctoral courses into a single indicator.
The IGC is constructed based on a weighted average of the grades of the institution's undergraduate and graduate courses.
How is it calculated?
Preliminary Course Concept (CPC)
For undergraduate courses, the Preliminary Course Concept (CPC) is used, which evaluates:
- ✓
Enade Concept (performance of graduating students)
- ✓
Performance of incoming students in the Enade exam
- ✓
Faculty
- ✓
Infrastructure
- ✓
Pedagogical program
The final result presents continuous values from 0 to 500 and ranges from 1 to 5.
