Objectives

• Develop Essential Knowledge: Provide
students with a solid understanding of skin anatomy and physiology
, covering the main concepts of
aesthetic dermatology and cosmetic dermatology, including the theoretical basis of the
most common treatments.
• Foster Basic Clinical Skills: Enable students
to perform detailed aesthetic assessments, interpret
dermatological examinations, and apply basic techniques of
non-surgical aesthetic procedures, such as botulinum toxin and fillers.
• Introduce Aesthetic Dermatological Practice: Offer
supervised practical experience that allows students to understand the
routine of care in aesthetic clinics, familiarizing them
with the environment and treatment protocols.
• Enhance Diagnostic Reasoning: Stimulate the development
of clinical reasoning to identify and address the main
dermatological and aesthetic conditions, preparing students
to develop safe and effective treatment plans.
• Introducing Principles of Advanced Technologies: Providing
a basic understanding of the main technologies used
in aesthetic dermatology, such as lasers and energy devices,
their mechanisms of action, indications, and necessary precautions.

1. Anatomy and physiology of the skin applied to the practice of facial cosmetics
2. Aesthetic evaluation and therapeutic planning for excellent results
3. Techniques for applying Botulinum Toxin to the face
4. Other toxin application techniques (hyperhidrosis, headache, blepharospasm, facial paralysis)
5. Dermatological and aesthetic pharmacology
6. Hyaluronic acid filler techniques for the face
7. Hyaluronic acid filler techniques (lips, dark circles and chin)
8. Unaesthetic dermatoses I: melasma, dyschromia and acne
9. Unaesthetic dermatoses II: photoaging, rosacea, acne scars
10. Laser therapy in aesthetic medicine I
11. Laser therapy in aesthetic medicine II
12. Chemical peels
13. Body treatments for sagging skin, localized fat and stretch marks
14. Body/buttock aesthetic treatments
15. Complications in injectable dermatological procedures
16. Complications in other aesthetic procedures (peels, laser, microneedling)
17. Hair treatments
